Sausalito Portrait Photography: Sonia and Roman – Cavallo Point

Cavallo Point is a beautiful state park that sits in between downtown Sausaulito and the Golden Gate Bridge. Sonia and Roman love the view from the park, so when they said they wanted to do their portrait session there, we were really excited. (We’re also shooting a wedding there this June, so it was great to get a chance to do some extra scounting for cool picture spots.) Sonia couldn’t quite decide what to wear for the session, so she brought a whole bunch of outfits to choose from. We had fun picking out our favorites for the shoot while Dusty and Roman had fun being guys and patiently waiting for us! Cavallo Point has a little bit of everything to choose for pictures spots, so we hit up all of it, including some more of the old military bunkers that we love so much around the bridge.

San Francisco Portraits: Kara and Ralph – Noe Valley

Kara and Ralph really wanted to capture pictures of them doing what they do every day, so we did their entire shoot inside their house and around their block in San Francisco. We did shots of them reading, snuggling, drinking coffee, and all kinds of other little things. We also discoverd that they call themselves the Karalph Collective, which is their spin on being Drozian. It’s nice to know that other couples have also come up with a phrase to describe their collective identity!

San Francisco Engagement Photography: Katie and Amie – Baker Beach

We met up with Katie and Amie for at Baker Beach in San Francisco for their engagement session. This was the first time we had been to Baker Beach, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Katie and Amie wanted some shots with the bridge in the background, and it turned out that you could get great views of it from almost every part of the beach. We also discovered old military bunkers on the hill that ran along behind the beach, and those made for some great picture spots, too!

Chico Engagement Photography: Gina and Brian – Sierra Nevada Brewery and Bidwell Park

Gina and Brian had a two-part engagement session. The first half was at Sierra Nevada, where we shot Brian and Gina brewing their specialty beer that they will be having at their wedding. It was so much fun to watch Brian work. We know nothing about brewing beer so he gave us a lesson while he was setting everything up. After they were done brewing, we found some great spots in the brewery to do a few engagement shots. Then we met up again with them later that week to do some more engagement shots at Upper Bidwell Park.

Lodi Engagement Photography: Alyson and Lucas – Jessie’s Grove Winery

Alyson and Lucas suggested that we do their session at Jessie’s Grove Winery in Lodi, and it was a perfect place for pictures. We never knew that Lodi had so many cute little vineyards. We ran all over Jessie’s Grove taking advantage of the pile of cute settings they had. Alyson and Lucas’s dog, Hank, also ran all over the place. They live in San Francisco, so Hank doesn’t get a lot of exposure to horses and farm life, and he was more than content to explore everywhere during our session!
