With wedding season about to start, we’ve been reminiscing about all of our 2014 weddings! Last year was such a great year and we had so much fun with all of our brides and grooms. What a beautiful and super fun wedding Amy and Derek had! We started off the day with the girls getting ready at Amy and Derek’s house. The field nearby had the most gorgeous grass, and you totally can’t tell but the dress detail shots we did there were done with Dusty just out of the frame holding the dress on a monopod. We also have always liked the moss that grows on the rocks around here, so we couldn’t help but use it for their ring shots, too. Manzanita Place is right near Upper Bidwell park, so we headed their for the pre-ceremony pics. The little hiking trail right near the main gate has some of the most gorgeous light in the trees ! Derek’s group of groomsmen are a hilarious bunch of guys, so naturally the first shot they requested was everyone looking all excited about his (they pulled it off PERFECTLY of course!). The ceremony and reception was covered with adorable custom-designed rustic details (put together by the wonderful Idea Emporium). The fall colors looked amazing as a backdrop for the ceremony and bride and groom pics, which all took place right around sunset so the light was gorgeous!

Lauren and Joe had a lovely fall wedding in the beautiful vineyard setting of Vine Hill House. We loved how they each added their own individual touches to their big day that made it unique to them. The wedding colors, for example, incorporated Joe’s passion for the San Francisco Giants! (If you remember, Joe demonstrated his love for Lauren on the day of their engagement shoot by missing a game when he had season tickets.) Lauren’s dress was perfect for the setting with a gorgeous large bow at the top of its train. The changing colors of the tree leaves complimented the wedding colors beautifully, the weather was wonderful, the sunset breathtaking, and the sparkler send-off was perfect!

White Ranch is one of our favorite venues in Chico! Even though it rained a litle on the morning of the wedding, the clouds in the sky made for an epic backdrop for their pics! Liz was all about DIY for her wedding decorations. She and a friend did all of the floral arrangements and even made their bouquets and boutonnieres, which looked absolutely amazing! Liz’s dad found her a vintage umbrella since it was supposed to rain, and it looked so lovely with all the rain-soaked greenery at the ranch. We loved taking Liz and Tyler through all the pathways with overgrown ivy and twinkly lights, which made for the perfect setting for Liz’s fairy tale inspired wedding!
