Doug and Jessica’s wedding took place in Makena, Maui. Everything was perfect! What more could we ask for? The beach house was only a few feet from the ocean, Jessica was gorgeous, we were on the sunset side of the island, and did I mention that we had sea turtles swimming a few feet from the ceremony? Jessica’s shoes were fabulous, and so fun to take pictures of. The flowers in her hair really added to her casual, beachy theme. Jessica had been a little worried about the weather a few days before. It was forecasted to be windy with a chance of rain. While Jessica was getting ready, we all joked about how she should do a little anti-rain dance to prevent the storm from coming in, and she told us she already had. I think it really must have worked because Jessica got her little bit of cloud coverage to help keep the temperature down, but it only drizzled for a minute! Also, while there were some clouds, we lucked out and got an amazing sunset! The wedding was extremely intimate with only 28 guests, and we had met pretty much everyone the night before at the Luau. We loved how they choose to have a “u” shaped table to include everyone at one table instead of using rounded tables for their intimate occasion.
