Amy and Greg are big fans of architecture, so it’s no surprise that they would choose the Julia Morgan Ballroom as a venue. This place was gorgeous! Amy gave us full license to shoot away at every cool bit of building we could find, so off we went and it was so much fun! After Amy finished getting ready at the ballroom, we headed up to Grace Cathedral for their ceremony. The cathedral had the most amazingly beautiful vaulted ceiling hung with streamers and overhead lights! The reception itself at the ballroom was full of all kinds of fun things for the guests to do during the evening. They had casino tables, dancing, a glee choir, and even a gelato stand (that Dusty went to 3 times)!

Kaylin told us that after seeing James in a college class, she thought he was so cute that she made sure to get as many classes as possible with him the next semester. It’s always fun to shoot couples that get all melty and twitterpated when they’re within a few inches of each other!

It has so many great spots to shoot, including a huge, beautiful tree just inside its gates and the coolest old, blue door on its main building. We could have shot there for days just getting all of the cute little details. Monika and James added their own special details to the day too, like the name labels for each seat at the reception which were made out of scrabble letters. Monika also ordered a custom-made cake topper of the two of them with their two cats and dog – it was so adorable!
