We met up with Kevin and Kelly (and their dog Charlie) at AT&T park for their engagement session. Charlie was so well behaved that we could just put him wherever we wanted him, and he would stay there until we were done shooting. Kevin rides a Ducati bike, so after doing some shots around AT&T park, we walked over to the Pier 48 buildings to do some fun shots with Kevin and Kelley in their riding gear. Naturally, at some point we ended up taking pics of the different tricks that Kevin has taught Charlie, and our absolute favorite was when Kevin would say “pound it out” and Charlie would give him a fist bump!

Lisa and Jimmy’s wedding at the Elks Lodge in Chico had the perfect light for pics on a hot summer day. They have a gorgeous path behind the building that has rows of trees running along either side of it, and everything positively glows when you shoot it back there! Theirs was another one of our weddings that had a ton of cute details. We especially liked her flowers, which were such a great pop of color amidst all the greenery and trees!

Candice and Matt are the sweetest people! Their wedding day actually fell on our 6th wedding anniversary, and, while we didn’t tell anybody that, they told EVERYONE! We had so many guests come up to us and wish a happy anniversary that it totally made our day. At the end of the night, Candice asked what our song was when we were dating in high school (because everyone in high school has a song) and had the DJ play it. Then she had us come out on the dance floor and dance at the same time as her and Matt while some of her friends took pictures of us!

Rewind to the beginning of the day, where we started off the morning with Candice having her hair done at the Holiday Inn in Auburn. The hotel had the best antique furniture in the lobby for all of the detail shots. The ring shot below was done there on a gorgeous old wood desk! After hair, we went to Monte Verde for Candice’s makeup and her first look with Matt. The ballroom at the inn had the most fantastic light, so we had a ton of fun inside taking some pre-wedding pics while all the guests were arriving at the wedding. After the ceremony we went out to the barn and vineyard behind the inn for more pics with the wedding party and Candice and Matt. We loved all their cute wedding details, including the table place cards with all of the keys tied to them!

I don’t know why, but we absolutely LOVE shooting pics with orange trees! Imagine how excited we were when we found out that Teale and Alex’s wedding was going to be at her family’s orange orchard in Exeter. It was such a beautiful location for a wedding, and there was no shortage of oranges for us to play with for pics (including the one below of the rings on top of the oranges)! We did a lot of their pics in the orchard itself, including some gorgeous ones in the sunset light, but we also jumped in our car with them and drove out to some of the old roads that meander through the foothills east of Exeter. Teale’s dress had lots of lace details, which always looks fantastic in those farm settings
