Kim and Nick and their dog Chloe are the cutest little family! Some of our favorite engagement sessions are the ones where we wander around our couples’ neighborhoods and find fun places to shoot. Chloe wasn’t really sure why we were dragging her around and making her stand in certain places, but she was so adorable once we did get her to pose for pics. After we shot at their neighborhood, we also went with Kim and Nick over to the Sutro Baths. It’s funny how much the weather changes from one side of San Francisco to the other, and when we got there we discovered that the whole place was covered in perfect moody fog for their session!

Jordan and David are another one of our high school sweetheart couples, sort of. They met in high school, but didn’t start dating until after graduation when they decided to have a “summer fling” ABC-Family-Movie-style before they both went off to college. Despite saying it started off as a fling, the beginning of their relationship was totally pre-meditated on Jordan’s part. They were both going out to the movies with a bunch of friends, and Jordan managed to set it up so she could ride there with David. Once she had him in the car, that’s when she proposed that they go out on a date. The way they described it to us, they both didn’t expect it to last longer than that summer, but they just sort of never stopped dating!

This was our first time shooting on Cannery Row, and we were so happy that Jordan and David picked it as their wedding location. There were so many fun details to use in their pics, and it was very fitting since David also proposed to Jordan in Monterey.

We had so much fun shooting our new showreel with Elisa and Robby. The style of their engagement session inspired us to put this video together, and they were so cute the whole day! We still can’t believe Elisa constructed the dress that she’s wearing in the second half of the video! The part main part is a dress from Forever 21 with a lace vest that she had. All of the embelishments and flowers were all made by Elisa out of lace placemats that she bought from all the antique stores in Red Bluff!

Here are a few pics from their session, too:

AND, Elisa’s mom Diane Penner (from Di’z Photography) is a friend of ours so she took some behind the scenes shots of us during our shoot!

If you scroll to the end of this post, you’ll see Bernadette and Evan airborne over a swimming pool in their wedding attire. That pretty much describes how much fun they had at their wedding from start to finish. Grand Island Mansion is so gorgeous, and we had no shortage of great places to shoot. Bernadette and Evan’s ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the mansion under a beautiful gazebo. After the ceremony and some amazing shots of the two of them out on the front lawn, it was off to the dining room for dinner, then downstairs to the dance floor for their reception.

One of the most fun things about photographing a wedding is the nervous excitement that you can feel in the air all morning while everyone is getting ready. We started off the day in Redding where Rita and JJ’s families had a few hotel rooms that were just brimming with hustling and bustling and anticipation for the wedding. Once everyone was prepped and ready to go, we headed up to Anselmo Vineyards where all the events were taking place. We always have such a fun time using the barns, trees, vineyards and church that are on the property. Rita had a gorgeous dress that matched the setting perfectly. Anselmo Vineyards is also the perfect location for a rustic-themed wedding, and Rita and JJ had the cutest decorations to go along with their venue. We also absolutely loved Rita’s color choices for their flowers.
