Sarah and Matt’s wedding ceremony took place at an absolutely beautiful church in Ross. The interior of the church has fantastic woodwork everywhere and the lighting in the center aisle made for some gorgeous shots of Sarah walking in with her dad. After the ceremony, we all walked across the street to the Marin Art and Garden Center for some shots of the two of them and their reception. It is so fun to see how people’s personlities just light up on their wedding day, and we had a blast watching Sarah and Matt together while we did their pics. I also had a total field day photographing all the flowers (one of my favorite things to shoot) that are all over the gardens there!

We did another little tour of San Francisco for Kendra and Jim’s engagement session. We started off on top of their apartment building, which had an amazing view of the bay, then headed down to the marina where we discovered some really fun spots out on the piers, and finally went out to the Sutro Baths to finish off their session. In all those places there was one consistent theme: Kendra gets ridiculously happy and smiley whenever she’s within 5 feet of Jim!

The variety of locations and styles to shoot at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma is amazing! The whole venue is a collection of large outdoor art installations throughout a series of beautiful gardens. When you take Claire and Jon, who are so adorable together, and put them in the middle of that, it’s pretty much all we could ask for on a wedding day!

Claire had absolutely gorgeous jewelery to go with her dress!

The two of them wrote notes to each other before the ceremony.

And in case the shoes didn’t give it away, Jon is British!

You would never know it, but this spot is actually the service and delivery entrance for the wedding vendors.

Claire and Jon used post cards from their favorite places and the places they grew up as note cards for their guests to leave them messages.

They had so many cute details and decorations at their reception. We had a field day photographing all the little details!

Special thanks to all the vendors at the event:

Ashley and Gary’s wedding was sort of a full-circle moment for us. Charles Krug Winery was the first place we stopped after Dusty asked me to marry him. It was in their parking lot where we started making all the phone calls to tell everyone we were engaged. Ever since then we have wanted to get the chance to shoot a wedding there, and we were really happy that Ashley and Gary gave us that opportunity!

We started off the day at the cutest little house near Calistoga where Ashley, Gary, and their families were getting ready. We are total suckers for detail shots with grapes and vines, so the first thing we did when we got there was start dragging tables, chairs, and benches out of the house to use in our shots.

You would not believe the furniture that we can fit in the back of our car. This brown couch went so well with the style of Ashley’s dress! This was the first time we had taken this chair anywhere, and we discovered that it’s so old that it’s actually stuffed with hay!

Instead of the usual sand ceremony, Ashley and Gary chose to put together a box of wines for them to open on specific anniversaries.

The inside of Krug’s carriage house is gorgeous!

This is what happens when you introduce fuzzy, pink hats and hula hoops into a reception!

We seriously love it when our couples bring hilarious stuff to wear at the reception (or when the guests decide to raid the photo booth).
